The Livewell Clinic’s Nut Mix Recipe

Hi everyone, Dr. Zac here again, excited to share with you a nut mix our clinic loves! In my last blog post, I shared my morning routine and said I would be back with this recipe, so… voila!

Similar to you and most people in the Livewell community, we know that life is hectic. This is why I cannot emphasize enough to be proactive. Whether it’s once or twice a week, creating time to meal prep and plan as much as possible for the day-to-day details can help you feel much better both physically and emotionally.

As promised, I’m sharing my favorite nut mix that I make myself. Here’s the recipe for you.

LIVEWELL’S NUT MIX

Ingredients
1/4 cup coconut shavings
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1/2 cup walnut
1/2 cup pecans
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp MCT oil or melted coconut oil
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp dark chocolate (crunched up)
Vanilla powder or liquid to taste

Take all of these ingredients inside a bag of your choice (we use brown bags in our home as we dance to Jennifer Lopez) and shake them up for 30-60 seconds.

That’s it!

You can double this recipe, add more or less of the nuts, and switch things up with your favorite spices. We love going to grocery stores like Campbell’s, Hy-Vee, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe’s to get these ingredients in bulk. That way, when snacks are low or we have a road trip, we can easily throw together the nut mix.

This mix will leave you feeling full with the high amount of fats and can do wonders to curb any of the late night cravings that may come up.
